Face Frame cabinets include a frame on the front side of the cabinet box. Doors and drawer fronts overlay or sit on top of the frame when closed. Drawer boxes and cabinet accessories fit within the face frame openings.

Frameless cabinets utilize the most interior space of the cabinet box. This construction essentially has two sides and a back, with door and drawer fronts fully overlaying the edge of the side panels. Shelves, drawer hardware, and cabinet accessories are installed on the side panels of the cabinet box and maximize the width of each cabinet.

Often viewed as a classic traditional style construction, Inset cabinets are when the door and drawer fronts fit within the cabinet’s face frame when closed. The doors, drawers, and face frame are flush with each other. Various door styles elevate the cabinetry details and embellish the overall look of the space.

The varied nature of wood species, cuts, and stains makes wood finished cabinets an optimal choice. Some woods include Maple, Cherry, Oak, and Walnut to name a few. These woods can be cut plain sliced, quarter sawn, or rift also to name just a few. Stains range from light to dark, warmer to cooler. Wood finishes on cabinets is ideal for any style.
